A FOND FAREWELL TO PARTNER ROBBIE GORDONAnderson Anderson & Brown LLP (“AAB”) are disappointed to announce that Robbie Gordon, Partner in Charge of Audit and Accounting Services, will leave the firm at the end of September to take up the position of Finance Director of the Broad Cairn Group, an organisation that Robbie has been associated with for a number of years as a professional advisor through AAB. Robbie is excited by the challenges this opportunity offers and believes that a move at this stage in his career fulfils a desire which he has had since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1985. That said, Robbie commented “this has been the hardest decision I have had to make in my career and is one not taken lightly.”
Robbie acknowledges that during the last 18 years he has enjoyed working with the firm’s clients, many of whom he regards as good friends as well as business associates. Robbie said “I will miss the partners of AAB and the excellent staff in the firm. The team remains well placed to continue growing and providing the highest levels of quality service on which we, at AAB, have built our excellent reputation.”
Mike Brown commented “Robbie will be much missed not only as a driver of the business and for the contribution he has made to the success of the firm, but also for his fantastic personality which has made him a great guy to work with over the last 18 years. However, we must accept that people do move on and all of us wish him the very best in his new role and would like to thank him for the tremendously valuable service he has given to the firm.”
In the period until his departure Robbie will be working closely with his partners and the client service managers to ensure a seamless and effective handover of his client portfolio.
Replacing Robbie, as Partner in Charge of Audit and Accounting Services, is John Black who with over 10 years as an Audit Partner in the firm is ideally suited to take on this role and is very much looking forward to the exciting challenges that lie ahead. 309 views
