Aberdeen Charity to Reveal New Plans at AGM

Local charity, ACVO (Aberdeen Council of Voluntary Organisations) will be announcing some exciting new developments at its AGM on the 27th October 2011.

ACVO’s mission is to help Aberdeen’s charities, voluntary organisations and community groups to develop, to grow and to have a voice within the community. With these aims in mind, over the last year ACVO has been working on ways to enhance its level of service.

One of the developments being unveiled at the AGM is ACVO’s new membership structure, which will be low cost and provide access to a range of discounts and benefits.

ACVO will also be announcing the date for next year’s Celebrate Aberdeen parade, and confirming how the monies raised at this year’s parade are to be distributed.

Before and after the formal AGM, attendees will have the chance to meet the ACVO staff and to learn more about what they do.

The AGM will take place from 10am-4pm on Thursday 27th October 2011 at Aberdeen Arts Centre. Anyone interested in attending is asked to contact Claire Conroy on enquiries@acvo.org.uk to confirm.
