Aberdeen Consultancy announces buy-outAn Aberdeen consultancy is reorganising into two new companies following a management buy-out, to create new opportunities for growth and development. From August 2011, oil and gas consultancy, Facilitators International LLP will become Project Excellence LLP in a bid to focus on its core activities of consultancy and resourcing. The new company, which is based in the city‟s Huntly Street will be owned and run by Mike Howard and Dr Clive Randall. As a result of the restructure, an additional company has been formed. FQM Ltd., previously known as Facilitators Quality Management, will concentrate on helping clients with their business processes and „management of quality‟ whilst developing a „quality of management‟ service with a new strategic partner. The buy-out follows the announcement of a turnover of just under £4 million for the last financial year. Commentating on the announcement, Project Excellence partner Mike Howard said the reorganisation will improve his company‟s business focus.
“In recent years our Project Business has grown considerably to the point where it makes more sense to replace the Facilitators International brand with our own. This also gives rise to an opportunity to spin out the FQM business. We are delighted to be able to make this change and remove some brand confusion which
has existed in the past. We see this as the starting point for the provision of a much wider scope of services to our clients” Dr Clive Randall added “ this also gives us more flexibility for aligned acquisitions and business growth, as decision making is simplified. We are now setting up a separate risk management part of the business along with a new partner to manage that area”. Allan Dick who now owns and manages FQM Ltd said: “As a result of the new structure, I‟m looking forward to extending FQM‟s current management systems consultancy as well as developing an exciting new offering to the public and private sectors that measures and delivers behavioural change to drive performance improvement.” The Consultancy was established 18 years ago to help companies improve their business potential, and became a partnership eight years ago. It supports oil and gas operators and a number of major contractors and service companies. 163 views
