Aberdeen showcase gets an A list work out!One of the world’s top fitness instructors and choreographers, who has worked with Beyonce and who trains Tony and Cherie Blair, spiced up a showcase for Aberdeen city and shire PAs. Steve Agyei, who has not only worked with Beyonce, but also with David Beckham, and Jlo, was in the city to exhibit at the networking event. Aberdeen PA, a website dedicated to making the working lives of PA’s easier, was set up last year by Rosemary McLennan. The fitness trainer, who has travelled the world dancing with pop stars such as The Spice Girls, Sting, Paul McCartney, U2 and Mariah Carey, not to mention appearing in over 50 pop videos, says he’s excited to be a new member and hopes to pass on his unique fitness concepts to the Aberdeen girls. ‘I am looking forward to bringing my Beyond Lifestyle training philosophy to the Aberdeen PA members – Bootylicious classes, Bespoke Personal Training and Yoga and also Corporate Office Fitness Programmes designed to help you lose weight and refresh the mind, body and soul and guaranteed to put a smile on your face,’ says Steve, who has 25 years experience as a fitness trainer combining his knowledge of sport, dance yoga and music. ‘I am thrilled to have Steve on board as a Member of Aberdeen PA as I am certain he will help PA’s on both a personal and professional basis. The role of a PA is extremely challenging and Aberdeen PA enables the PA community to assist each other through the Aberdeen PA website, forum and show case events,’ explained delighted Rosemary. Over 200 members attended the winter showcase at the Marcliffe hotel dedicated to PAs working needs. Other exhibitors at the special showcase included Scotland’s top hotels, recruitment, and travel companies, PR, pampering and legal businesses, photographers, office supplies and catering companies, airlines and conference centres. Aberdeen PA has attracted over 700 new members in the last twelve months and members have found it an invaluable tool. It is designed to give access to all sorts of information from travel offers to venues, office supplies, and florists, everything needed to put on an event. Many of the city’s top PA’s are members, including Moyra Gibb, an assistant to Shell’s Europe Vice President. ‘I have been a member of Aberdeen PA from the beginning and it has proved to be an excellent source of information on office products, conference venues and networking opportunities. The network helps people in this field to get together and share social and work related tips and information. I thoroughly recommend joining and discovering the joy of a network specifically for PAs,’ explains Moyra.
The company has been such a success in its first year that Rosemary has now expanded to Inverness.
Rosemary said, “The number of PA’s who have used the network over the past year has been astonishing. Additionally, businesses from across the UK are now coming to promote themselves to the PA Members. This greatly benefits our region and it is proof that the PA’s are being recognised for the pivotal role that they play within their own companies.” 154 views
