Aberdeen Students to receive BP Student Tutoring Award

Students from Robert Gordon University, the University of Aberdeen and Aberdeen College have successfully completed the BP Tutoring Scheme, a 10 week volunteering experience as student tutors in primary and secondary schools throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

The students will be presented with certificates of participation from their institutions and the scheme sponsors BP, Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City Councils on Thursday 28 April.

A total of 95 students from the three institutions secured a place in the scheme this year, which aims to inspire pupils in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, to consider further and higher education opportunities whilst providing a valuable extra pair of hands for teaching staff.
