Aberdeen thanks Association of Investment Companies’ judges for two awards

Aberdeen Asset Management won two coveted AIC awards for "best information to shareholders" at an annual ceremony held at the Dorchester, London, last night. The Group’s global e-marketing team won the best investment trust website category (for the seventh consecutive year) while the Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC won the best factsheet category.

Commenting on the two awards won by Aberdeen, William Hemmings, Head of Investment Companies, said:

"The annual AIC awards for "best information to shareholders" is a good yardstick for us as an industry and continually encourages us to improve standards. As managers, our responsibilities are twofold. First is to manage the assets to the best of our abilities to meet our investors' expectations. But especially in volatile times, we also need to communicate well. We are pleased therefore to win the AIC's awards for our investment trust centre website again, as well as winning an award for one of our monthly factsheets."
