AKE Lowers UK Risk Rating

International security and risk mitigation company AKE has lowered the risk rating for urban zones in the United Kingdom.

The rating has been reduced to AKE7, which denotes 'stability'.

It has been altered after a month of appreciable calm following the violence witnessed across London, Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool in August.

It was temporarily ranked as 'flashpoint' during the unrest.

The court system has been quick to prosecute the perpetrators of the violence, and similar scenes are unlikely to be witnessed in the near future.

However, AKE recommends that personnel continue to take sensible safety precautions when in urban areas. Companies should also ensure that they are able to protect their businesses in the event of further incidents of localised violence.
