ARAMARK SECURES ROSPA HOTEL & CATERING AWARD FOR SEVENTH TIME

Today (Monday 4 April) award-winning food service company ARAMARK secured its seventh Hotel & Catering Sector award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

ARAMARK will receive the 2011 Hotel & Catering Sector award in September at the Scottish RoSPA ceremony in Glasgow on 22nd September 2011. The award recognises an organisation that has demonstrated the best safety management performance within its industry.

Susan Elston, managing director for ARAMARK’s offshore division, said: “This is a tremendous accolade. It’s a great honour for us to be recognised again at these esteemed awards. It reflects our strong commitment to promoting exceptional safety standards in the workplace. Good health and safety is critical for good business.”

“Offshore activity has changed dramatically. We’re responsible for every aspect of our employee health and wellbeing, from monitoring stress levels and preventing repetitive strain injury to product sourcing and the nutritional impact of menus.

“Our employees make a massive contribution to offshore morale. For those who work a strenuous twelve hour day in challenging conditions, mealtimes can be the most enjoyable part of the day. This means our safety performance has to be as outstanding as our food.”

The ARAMARK offshore team has won the RoSPA Sector award seven times in the last nine years and secured the RoSPA President’s award for completing more than ten years of exceptional performance in its sector.
