Atlas appoints new product development manager to drive growth in the global oil and gas marketInternational learning and skills specialist Atlas has appointed a new product development manager to spearhead the continued growth of the company’s expanding range of products for the oil and gas and other safety-critical industries worldwide. Stewart Buchanan will lead strategic new product development, from assessment of concepts through to execution and launch, in order to deliver long term value for the energy sector and help Atlas meet its target of doubling sales in the next three years.
Based at Atlas’ global headquarters in Aberdeen, Buchanan will work with industry bodies to monitor skills trends and research the training needs of the oil and gas market, working closely with Atlas’ clients to review current products and identify gaps in the Atlas product portfolio to develop a product development plan that will meet the needs of industry. This new position will be pivotal to supporting Atlas’ repositioning as a leading innovative, learning, compliance and competency workforce solutions business.
With 24 years of project and account management experience under his belt, he joins Atlas from AVC Media where he held the post of digital and creative development director. Prior to this Buchanan was founder and managing director of Hotchilli Design Ltd.

Since then, the business has experienced significant growth and expansion across priority international regions and market sectors.
