Bancon Construction

Bancon Construction, a division of the Bancon Group, has secured over £15 million of contracts in the last quarter.

Contracts awarded to Bancon Construction include Student Accommodation in Holburn Street, Aberdeen valued at £2.8 million for C&L Properties; a £4.8 million Care Home at Craigton Road, Aberdeen and a development of 24 flats and a retail unit at Inverurie valued at £2.1 million for Bancon Developments; a £1.9 million office development in Queens Road, Aberdeen for Knight Property Group and alterations and an extension to the former International Casino building in Market street Aberdeen for Gamola Golf Ltd valued at £0.8 million.

Bancon Group Chief Executive, Bill Beattie said “given that the Scottish Construction Industry has been suffering badly from the economic downturn and prospects for the remainder of 2011 and the year ahead remains challenging, it was pleasing to secure projects that reflect Bancon Constructions diverse range of capabilities. Although these awards will give continuity of work to Bancon Constructions current workforce of around 250, the structure of the Bancon Group means we have significant capacity to take further work on board with immediate effect”.

The Bancon Group of Companies are engaged in General Building Contracting, Design and Build, Housing and Property Developments, Timber Frame Design & Manufacture and Specialist Works & Property Maintenance.
