‘Be a Hero’ and Join Team CHASChildren’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) is keen to sign up running ‘heroes’ for the City of Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10K on Sunday 20 May 2012. This year the event takes place during Children’s Hospice week, the UK’s only week dedicated to raising awareness of children’s hospices. The theme for the week is ‘Be a Hero’ so CHAS runners are being encouraged to take on an extra challenge and dress up as a super hero while helping raise vital funds for children with life-shortening conditions in the North East and across Scotland.
Following their success last year, CHAS is hoping to recruit even more runners to help raise vital funds for their hospice services. They are also looking for willing volunteers to help marshal on the day.
CHAS Fundraiser Sarah Secombes said, “With the added bonus of the race falling in Children’s Hospice Week we’re hoping that more runners than ever before will sign up to team CHAS. We’re also keen to hear from anyone who would like to help marshal on the day. .”
All CHAS runners will be given a running vest, sponsor pack and all the support they need to help make their fundraising a success.
If you would like to support CHAS please contact the Aberdeen fundraising office on 01224 645 000 or go to www.chas.org.uk 41 views |
