BIRTHDAY BALL SET TO RAISE CASH FOR KIDSNorth-east charity Northsound’s Cash for Kids is to mark 15 years of supporting local children by holding a glamorous fundraising ball to help continue its work. The Cash for Kids 15th Birthday Ball will be held at Aberdeen’s Marcliffe Hotel and Spa on Saturday, September 17, at 7pm for 7.30pm.
All proceeds from the black tie event will go to underprivileged, sick and disabled children and young people who live in the North-east.
Every year, the charity aims to raise £200,000, which is distributed through grants to individuals, clubs, groups and organisations.
Among the numerous recipients of financial support are Aberdeenshire Disability Sport, Women’s Aid, the Reading Bus, Grampian Autistic Society, Archway, family support projects, local schools and community learning groups.
Guests at the ball will enjoy a champagne reception and four-course dinner, followed by live entertainment and a charity auction, which is expected to raise even more cash for the pot.
Cash for Kids charity manager Michelle Herd said: “Cash for Kids has been supporting local children who need a helping hand for the past 15 years, and all the money raised in this area stays locally.
“We thought it would be a great opportunity to mark our 15th birthday by having a charity ball to celebrate all the good work that has been done to date, while raising money to allow us to support even more children.
“It’s set to be a fantastic night of good food, entertainment and dancing, and we aim to raise as much money for possible for Cash for Kids!”
Tables of 10 are priced at £750. To book, call Cash for Kids on 01224 337010 or email michelle.herd@northsound.co.uk 271 views
