Welcome to the August edition of Bright Spots, our round up of oil and gas news in Deloitte. This month, we alert you to our North Sea article published in World Oil magazine and a thought piece written about the Dutch Gas Hub issues, both are available through our website.

We highlight the half year update of the UK upstream independents league table, and point you towards a number of papers looking at issues facing the Middle East oil and gas sector today. This month sees the addition of South Sudan to our PetroView Sub-Saharan Africa dataset and updated wall maps are now available on request. We report on the most recent licensing round developments around the world and notify you of the next Power of gas training course, which will be held in October. Finally, we are hosting our Doing business in the Gulf of Guinea seminar on 27 September and also alert you to other events we are involved in throughout September.
