Bright Spots - Highlighting oil and gas issues- September 2011

Welcome to September's edition of Bright Spots, our round up of oil and gas news in Deloitte. This month, we give details of our recent Doing business in the Gulf of Guinea oil and gas seminar as well as details of the presentation we gave at the Asia Oil Week on South East Asia exploration highlights.

We also alert you to two articles published in the recent Scandinavian Oil-Gas magazine; Brazil: Before pre-salt and Russia licensing activity. We provide a midyear update to the Oil and gas mergers and acquisitions report. There have been a number of updated Fiscal and Regulatory Guides which are now available for purchase and updated wall maps are available for request via our website. We report on the most recent licensing round announcements across the globe and supply details of the events that we will be speaking or exhibiting at over the next couple of months.

Our seminar examined the regional context, tax, legal, geological and operating factors that can help build business success in the Gulf of Guinea. The presentations are available upon request from our website.
