Brodies announces 300th fee-earner

Law firm Brodies LLP today announces that its 300th fee-earner, Elaine Ramsay, has joined the firm. The news follows the recognition earlier this month that Brodies is, for the second year in a row, Scotland's largest legal resource, with more qualified lawyers and more total fee-earners than any other firm (source: CA magazine May 2011).

Elaine Ramsay starts today in Brodies' Edinburgh office, working as part of the firm's top-ranked employment department, the largest of its kind in Scotland. Elaine graduated from Strathclyde University in 2006 with a first in Law, practised as an employment lawyer and litigator until 2010 when she moved to leading City and international firm Freshfields. Elaine's arrival at Brodies marks her return to Scotland.

Bill Drummond, managing partner of Brodies, said: "We wish a warm welcome to Elaine. She'll be a great new addition to our team. As these figures show, our commitment is to provide ongoing investment in jobs here in Scotland and also, as in the case of Elaine, attract those who have worked in London and elsewhere back to Scotland, thereby widening and ever improving our services to clients."
