Brodies tops client poll on quality of legal adviceBrodies LLP has been ranked the top law firm in Scotland for the quality of its legal advice in a UK-wide corporate client survey conducted by the respected industry publication Legal Week. Brodies, which has more leading lawyers than any other practice in Scotland, was singled out by clients in the Legal Week Client Satisfaction Report 2011for offering legal expertise of the very highest standard. The survey, which was based on feedback from more than 1,000 companies across the UK, including 78% of FTSE 100 firms, gave Brodies an average score of 8.75 out of 10 for the quality of its legal advice – the highest mark achieved by any of the leading Scottish firms. Brodies was also ranked joint first for its use of IT and knowledge management. The top rankings come less than six months after Brodies, which has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Brussels, was named the UK Regional/National Law Firm of the Year for 2011 by The Lawyer magazine at its prestigious annual awards in London. Bill Drummond, Managing Partner of Brodies, said: "Our achievement in this independent survey reflects our continued investment in recruiting and training legal talent and our unremitting focus on developing people with the know-how to deliver services to our clients of the very highest quality. It is a significant result to score so highly in a survey of the UK's leading companies when we have concentrated our fire-power on Scotland and resisted the market trend of opening an office in London. For us, there is no more important barometer of success than the opinions of our clients." The past year has seen Brodies mark several significant milestones, including opening offices in Aberdeen and Brussels, which have brought Brodies' full range of legal services to the North East of Scotland and offered clients expert advice on European policy and legislation from Scottish lawyers directly involved in, and attuned to, the work of the EU institutions. 149 views
