BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME LAUNCHES SEARCH FOR POTENTIAL HIGH GROWTH COMPANIES

Scottish businesses with high growth potential are being urged to sign up for a successful business development programme.

The fourth Enterprise Partnership Scotland (EPS) scheme is looking for businesses and entrepreneurs from across the North of Scotland to apply for the project. Successful applicants will benefit from advice, support and expertise from a range of specialists, across a number of sectors, including finance, marketing human resources and recruitment, law and public relations.

Ewan Neilson, Senior partner with Stronachs, Ed Gillespie, currently chair of AECC, Carolyn Maniukiewicz, Director of Ideas In Partnership and Jacky Baltissen, of EnValue, form the Board of EPS. All industry professionals, the four possess many years of business experience between them covering all industry sectors.

The project is sponsored by a number of North-east organisations, all of whom provide invaluable support and guidance to businesses taking part in the scheme.

Carolyn Maniukiewicz, of Ideas in Partnership, said EPS targets companies with high growth potential – from new businesses to those looking to change direction, possible management buy outs, university spin offs and individuals that are non-risk averse, ambitious and highly motivational.

“Our previous three projects have attracted a fantastic response, with a range of businesses from across a number of sectors benefiting from our free of charge business growth scheme,” she said.

“The diversity of companies is what makes this project such an exciting and worthwhile initiative. Our sponsors are all experts in their fields and being able to benefit from their wealth of knowledge and experience provides such a great opportunity for the businesses taking part in the scheme, especially as this is all free of charge”

Aberdeen catering business, Itsy, was chosen during last year’s EPS selection process and the company’s ‘Big Cheese’ Matt Tutt found the mentoring experience hugely invaluable.

He said: “As a participant of EPS, the level of expertise at your fingertips is worth its weight in gold. With support provided for each key area of business – from accounts to PR and from law to marketing –  it’s fantastic to have an expert from each discipline on your side.

“I would strongly recommend the EPS scheme to businesses with high growth potential – like us, they would only reap the rewards from participating in the initiative.”
