1. Chamber Lunch – September 2009 Garry Clark from the Scottish Chambers of Commerce gave a informative presentation on the Deferral Scheme. For those of you who couldn’t attend details of the scheme can be found here. One point that should be repeated is that if you apply for Deferral and/or the Small Business Bonus scheme, both are retrospective and can be backdated.
The anticipated revaluation was talked about too. It’s expected to be announced in November/December. The Scottish Government will be waiting to see what the UK government does and it is hoped that businesses who receive discounts now will continue to do so.
Alan Rankin from ACDMO entertained with his ‘holiday snaps’ and an update on ACDMO activities over the past few months. Check their website at www.visitaviemore.com. It’s interactive! And their Business Barometer is going ‘Park-wide’ from October. More details to follow.
Our thanks go to Seafield Lodge Hotel for hosting the event.
