CALA REPEATS SUCCESS AT HOUSEBUILDING’S OSCARS

For the second year running, CALA Homes has scooped a prestigious national award at the What House? Awards, regarded as the “Oscars” of the UK housebuilding industry.

The premium housebuilder clinched a second coveted Bronze award in the UK’s Best Medium Housebuilder category, repeating its success in last year’s awards, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to providing the highest quality homes.

Judges highlighted: “A passionate workforce delivering a premium product to a customer who is king,” as a major contributor for CALA Homes’ success in 2010/11.”

Their citation read: “If the customer is always right then CALA is doing things very right. Once again the company, building across England and Scotland, topped the bill in the HBF Customer Satisfaction ratings. Getting it right at every level is integral to the business success.”

CALA also scored highly for its health and safety record, its rebranding and campaign-led marketing and investment in the CALA website which has significantly increased online sales. The new Signature range, now shaping most of the company’s Scottish developments was also singled out for praise, with the judges commenting on all the company’s homes:

“CALA has produced some lovely fresh designs, tailored to its wide variety of locations.”

The What House? award win comes hard on the heels of the company’s return to profitability, following the announcement earlier this month (November) of a £2 million profit for the financial year 2010/11.
