Call for EOWDC support

AREG is inviting Chamber members to offer their support for the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre.

The organisation is participating in the project because it sees it as a critical part of the effort to create a large renewable energy industry in Aberdeen City and Shire which will provide local business opportunities in this exciting new market.

They would welcome any expressions of support. Such messages should be sent by 16th September 2011 to Marine Scotland at ms.marinelicensing@scotland.gsi.gov.uk or by post to :

BACKGROUND

AREG, Vattenfall and Technip submitted an application for consent for the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre on 1st August 2011.  A formal consultation process is now underway and anyone wishing to make a representation to the application has until the 16th September 2011.  Any representations should be made to The Scottish Government, Marine Scotland Licencing Operations Team no later than this date.
