Celebrate Aberdeen – get involved now!

Celebrate Aberdeen is an exciting charity parade that will be taking place down Union Street in Aberdeen.

At 11am on 11^th June 2011, approximately 120 charity and community based organisations and more than 3500 people will be parading down Union Street, supported by a wide array of street entertainers, all in aid of celebrating the work of the thousands of staff and volunteers within the third sector.

The steering committee are now on the final push to secure company sponsors for the parade, so that all the charities and community groups can take part at no cost.   Your sponsorship will help us to celebrate the work of the third sector in Aberdeen and provide a small thank you to the many thousands of staff and volunteers for their invaluable efforts that contributes an estimated £50m to the local area.

Businesses, large and small across all sectors have come forward as sponsors meaning that more than 90 third sector organisations have now been sponsored. However there are still 30 organisations looking for sponsorship to help them take part in the event – and time is running out.
