Centrifuges Unlimited Doubles Office Space as Part of Growth StrategySeparation machinery provider for the oil and gas industry, Centrifuges Unlimited announces today that it has doubled its office and workshop space with the lease of premises on Howe Moss Terrace, Dyce. The firm has retained its base in Wellheads Industrial Estate in Dyce, for storage and surplus workshop space and the new premises provides an additional 1,000 square foot of office space and 3,000 square foot of warehouse space. Centrifuges Unlimited is part of SCES Limited, and this move marks a period of strong growth for the company. Turnover figures for 2010 reached £1.8 million and the company is on track to achieve £2.6 million turnover for the 2010/2011 financial year. Personnel numbers have also risen in the last year with seven new people being appointed, bringing the total number employed to 18.
Jim Shiach, managing director of SCES Limited says, “All employees will move to the new premises, which have been leased for five years, and the additional space will provide us with increased capacity for the design, refurbishment and manufacture of our own and our client’s separation equipment.
“This is an exciting time for Centrifuges Unlimited, we have secured a number of significant contracts in the last year, which has contributed to our strong turnover figures and increased the demand for additional staff. Expanding the business will provide us with the ability to enhance our service offering to clients, we provide a truly integrated service from bespoke design and build, to servicing and maintenance, installation and training. Our strong performance in 2010 placed us on a firm footing and we felt that this was the right time to grow the business further.
“We have appointed new staff within our sales and technical teams to drive forward the development of the company, not only within the domestic market but also across the globe. Plans are already in place to establish another base in the Southern Hemisphere in the next six months and we have a number of projects lined up in this area, further widening our client base within the oil and gas industry.”
