Network Sector Surveys

Member's needs are at the heart of the work of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC). Our mission is to put Members at the heart of the Chamber; the Chamber at the heart of the region and the region at the heart of a prosperous country. AGCC has agreed to the formation of a range of sector-interest groups from within our membership of more than 1,200 organisations. The main purpose of this is to ensure that we target specific needs with increasingly tailored services and benefits.

We have already started the Tourism Network and the Transport Network will be developed on the back of our transport campaign. In Spring 2011 we launched the Business Services Network, building on our work lobbying on business rates and the Energy Network, building on our work with the Oil and Gas Survey and focusing on the potential business for members from ‘renewables’. Other networks were launched later in the year according to member demand including the Food & Drink Network and Third Sector Network and eventually we expect to have in place up to 12 sector networks which work for members by 2012.

The membership team at AGCC recognises that the needs of a member hotel in Banchory are different from a member subsea contractor in Portlethen and the needs of a member fish processor in Fraserburgh are different from a member solicitor in Aberdeen so we feel that members will find that these new Chamber Networks help them to get the most from their membership of the Chamber.

As part of our tailored services, the Chamber is pleased to publish a series of surveys to provide sector specific research on businesses in North-east Scotland. For more information, click the individual survey links below.
