CHAS Supporter set to Dance the Night AwayPeterhead resident Wayne Clark will officially open ticket sales on Thursday 21 July for the Pittodrie Fundraising Night in aid of Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS). The event, which will take place on Saturday 20 August between 7pm-1am at Pittodrie Football Stadium, will include a disco and entertainment as well as a fundraising raffle and auction. Wayne was inspired to do some fundraising for CHAS after attending a similar event at a race track in Cowdenbeath.
Wayne Clark said: “I’m really looking forward to the CHAS fundraiser. It will be a brilliant night, full of fun and entertainment and I hope to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
“On the night there will also be a spectacular troop performance by youngsters from Danscentre and a performance by Peterhead School of Rock, a local band who are composing a song especially for the event.”
David Strathearn, CHAS Regional Fundraising Manager said: “This is a great year for CHAS in Aberdeen as we expand our services to include a CHAS at Home base in the city, and we are absolutely delighted that Wayne has chosen to support CHAS in this fun way. All the proceeds from this event will go towards helping children across Scotland with life-shortening conditions.”
Tickets at £12 are available from the CHAS Aberdeen Fundraising Office, Great Northern Chip Shop in Aberdeen and Hot Spot in Peterhead or by calling the ticket line on 01779 471540.
