cHeRry picked for an award of its own!Aberdeen event management company cushydoos, which has recognised many outstanding individuals in the fields of HR, training and recruitment through its cHeRries awards, was itself celebrating last night after the initiative was named the ‘Best Awards Scheme’ at the Scottish Event Awards in Edinburgh. The impressive ceremony, attended by many of the sector’s elite members, celebrated the very best of Scotland’s event industry.
The fourth annual cHeRries awards dinner, applauding HR, training and recruitment excellence across the north-east of Scotland, held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) in June this year, was attended by a sell-out crowd of 500 of the north-east’s leading business professionals.
Cushydoos was also honoured as another of its events; The Young Enterprise Grampian Company Finals was commended in the category of “Best Educational Event”, competing alongside the Scottish Youth Parliament, the Celtic Connections Festival and a General Teaching Council event featuring Annie Lennox.
Cushydoos director, Karen Reid, said: “We’re overjoyed with our success at the Scottish Event Awards. A tremendous amount of effort and hard work has been put into establishing the cHeRries over the years, so we’re absolutely thrilled that they have now been recognised as the best awards scheme in Scotland!
“There’s always a tremendous enthusiasm for the awards, both in terms of nominations and the demand for tickets at the event. Each year I’m delighted that this passion, along with the wealth of talented nominees in the area just continues to grow, so it’s a pleasure to provide these fantastic people with a fabulous awards ceremony!”
The 2012 cHeRries Awards, which have already attracted interest in nominations, will be launched in November this year, with the awards dinner taking place at the AECC on Thursday, 7 June 2012. For further information, please contact Lucy Thomson on 01224 651815 or lt@cushydoos.com. 85 views
