City road to close for essential repair work

Borrowstone Road is set to close for one week from Saturday (October 15) to allow for road repairs to be carried out.

The road will be closed to all traffic for 50 metres north of its junction with the Lang Stracht (A944).

As a result of the road closure motorists are advised a reduced speed limit of 30mph will be in place on the Lang Stracht from its east roundabout junction with the B9119 Tarland Road to its junction with Borrowstone Road. The reduced speed restrictions will be in place for the duration of the work.

An alternative route during the closure will be via Tulloch Road, Hope Farm Road, Chapel of Stoneywood Road and the A944.
