City streets set to re-open after repairsA city centre street has reopened following emergency carriageway repairs. Bon Accord Street, near the Ferryhill House Hotel, was partially closed yesterday (17 January) to allow council staff to repair the damaged road surface.
After a break down in the carriageway council staff have repaired the carriageway, filled the hole and resurfaced the tarmac. The road is now open to traffic in both directions.
Elsewhere, Albert Street is expected to reopen tomorrow (19 January) following urgent work to repair a burst Scottish Water main.
The road was expected to be closed between Whitehall Place and Albert Place junctions for up to two weeks.
However, contractors have been able to carry out the repair quicker than expected and weather permitting the road will reopen tomorrow (19 January) at 4pm. 58 views
