City Voice – Your City, Your SayVolunteers keen to have their say on a variety of subject in the Granite City are invited to join the Aberdeen City Voice panel. Aberdeen’s younger residents, especially those in the 16-34 age bracket, and people with children, are particularly sought to get involved with the panel, which gives the city’s public services invaluable data which helps to shape policy, improve service provision, measure performance and apply for funding.
It is now even easier to take part, with the questionnaire being published online for the first time. Citizens can also register as panellists online.
City Voice panellists are asked to answer a range of questions submitted by Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeen Council of Voluntary Organisations, Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, Grampian Police and NHS Grampian. The Panel is one of the key consultation methods used by the city’s community planning partners to find out what residents think about local services.
Three questionnaires, reports and newsletters are produced each year, with the next questionnaire being issued in the first week of October. The questionnaires are structured around community planning themes and cover a broad range of topics. For the first time the City Voice questionnaire has been published online and prospective panellists can register online on the ‘Current Consultations’ page of the Aberdeen City Council website.
There are approximately 900 panellists on the City Voice panel. To qualify to join the panel, you have to be 16 or over and live within the city boundaries.
If you would like to join the Panel or would like any further information, contact the City Voice co-ordinator by emailing cityvoice@aberdeencity.gov.uk or calling 01224 523179.
Previous questionnaires and newsletters are available online and more information can be found at www.aberdeencityvoice.org.uk 95 views
