CLAN CANCER SUPPORT APPEALS FOR UNWANTED GIFTS AND OLD MOBILE PHONESA North-east charity is appealing to members of the public to help it raise extra funds by donating their old mobile phones. CLAN Cancer Support recycles unwanted phones and receives money in return.
People can hand donations to the charity, including any unwanted Christmas gifts, at CLAN House on Westburn Road in Aberdeen or at one of the charity’s shops at Rosemount Place or Chapel Street in the city.
For those wishing to donate outside of Aberdeen City, the charity’s Ballater shop on Royal Deeside will also be accepting donations.
Susan Crighton, fundraising manager at CLAN said that last year’s appeal was well received by supporters.
She said: “We had a fantastic level of support to our appeal last year and hope that this year’s will be no different.
“Many people are given new mobile phones for Christmas and receive duplicate or unwanted gifts. We are asking people to donate any old, unwanted phones or gifts to CLAN, giving them a new lease of life by contributing to our appeal.”
CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity which offers support to anyone affected by cancer. Based in Aberdeen, the charity covers the whole of Grampian, Orkney and Shetland. CLAN is also developing services in the community and now has a presence in Ballater, Inverurie, Peterhead, Stonehaven, Orkney and Shetland.
