CLAN CANCER SUPPORT LOOKING FOR RUNNERS FOR BAKER HUGHES 10KRunners from across the North-east are being urged to pull on their trainers in aid of a local charity. CLAN Cancer Support is now signing up participants for this year’s Baker Hughes 10K, which will take place on Sunday, May 20. Last year, 176 volunteers took part in the 10K on behalf of CLAN and raised over £25,000 for the charity. Susan Crighton, fundraising manager at CLAN Cancer Support, said: “The Baker Hughes 10K is one of the most popular runs in the North-east calendar, and CLAN Cancer Support is delighted to once again be selected as one of the event’s nominated charities. “There are still places available for anyone interested in taking part in the 10K on behalf of CLAN and the support we have received from members of the public in the past has been fantastic. “The route along Aberdeen’s beach front is always popular with entrants and I am sure that anyone who takes part will find the whole experience hugely enjoyable.” For more information or to enter the 10k on behalf of CLAN please contact Debra Christie, fundraising coordinator, at CLAN House on 01224 647 000 or email debra.christie@clanhouse.org CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity which offers support to anyone affected by cancer.
