Cognity Continues To Attract Top Talent

Specialist engineering consultancy, Cognity, has yet again expanded its expert team by seeking out the industry’s top talent. The company is pleased to announce the appointment of George Elmslie, Design Draughtsman, and Etienne Alcantara, Student Engineer.

George brings Cognity a wealth of knowledge and experience from his previous roles in the oil and gas industry, specifically with down hole tools, wellhead equipment, fabrication and offshore accommodation modules, both in the UK and overseas. In his new position as Design Draughtsman, George will provide creative input during formative stages of product design and work with the team to develop concepts through to completion.

Commenting on his new role George said: “I am looking forward to working for such a creative and ambitious team and hope that my previous experience and industry experience will prove invaluable in forthcoming projects. Cognity is growing and I look forward to playing a key part in the future growth of the company.”

Etienne joins Cognity as a student from the University of Technology in Troyes, France, and is working with the company as part of a six month international internship. During his time with Cognity, Etienne will gain exposure to mechanical design and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) while developing valuable design skills on advanced engineering projects.
