Contract Win for MandOS

The DOF Subsea Group has become the first user of software developed in Scotland which will improve safety and business performance by its staff across four continents.

The system – which includes an innovative “wizard” for easy operation, believed to be the first of its kind – makes it easy for companies to understand and improve how each individual process should operate, clarifies roles and responsibilities and builds and publishes a complete management system. The software, developed by Aberdeen-based business management consultancy MandOS, will ensure consistency and safety in all DOF operations by enabling the company to define and communicate how it operates every aspect of its business.

John Cameron, HSEQ Manager - Atlantic for DOF Subsea, said they would be using the system – Promanade Advanced – as the basis for DOF’s continued growth and expansion. 

“We needed software which would make it easy for us to define and communicate how we operate.  Promanade will work together with our existing management systems and tools and give us this little extra we have been lacking and looking for.”

MandOS, which has just celebrated its 10th anniversary, was set up by Peter Fraser, an Aberdeen-based consultant in business management systems.

Its software is used around the world by major energy companies, local authorities, health services and police as well as by specialist consultancies in risk management and HR.

“The DOF contract is significant for MandOS,” he said. “We are also in discussions with other global operators for the use of Promanade Advanced.

“The new software is attracting increasing attention because of the pressure for companies to streamline operations and for directors to show that they are accountable throughout the company’s operations.”
