Corporate Teams hope to navigate their way to the top of the League!

Get your compasses at the ready! The third event of the Aberdeen Corporate Decathlon – the Orienteering Challenge is going to take place this weekend (Saturday 30th April) at the Bennachie Visitor Centre in Aberdeenshire.

Corporate Decathlon teams are preparing for this challenging outdoor adventure sport that exercises both body and mind. activitymix is working alongside Grampian Orienteers to host this event. Grampian Orienteers were crowned the British Orienteering Club of the Year in 2010 and were also recognised with a British Orienteering Service Award.

Anne Hickling, of Grampian Orienteers said;

“Working with activitymix gives us the opportunity to promote orienteering which caters for participants of all ages and fitness levels from beginners and recreational orienteers through to the elite. The main benefit of our involvement is the chance to showcase Orienteering to the corporate community which will encourage people to take up our sport and increase our membership.”

Following the Orienteering Challenge the next event will be the Wood Group Ballroom Dancing Challenge taking place at the Beach Ballroom. Teams will compete on Friday 20th & Saturday 21st May. Tickets are still available for both evenings, call 0845 2700160. Tickets cost £12 each.
