CORPORATE TEAMS TAKE TO THE LOCH IN ABERDEEN CORPORATE DECATHLONPut on your life jackets and grab a paddle as Knockburn Sports Loch becomes the location for the seventh challenge in the Aberdeen Corporate Decathlon – the TAQA Canoeing Challenge on Saturday 6th August! This is the second year global energy company TAQA, who are currently sitting in 5th place in League 2 of the decathlon, have sponsored the Canoeing Challenge! Leo Koot, Managing Director of TAQA said: “We are sponsoring this event because canoeing requires individual skills, relies on team work and is fun; all value’s which are core to the “TAQA Way” of working. We hope all the competitors have a great day and wish the best of luck to all the teams.” Teams of 8 will be split into two groups, each of which will then work as a team to complete various slightly unorthodox challenges around the loch, (mere straight-line speed is not enough for our brave competitors!). Teams will be well looked after as we are working in association with Adventure Aberdeen to bring this exciting event to Knockburn Sports Loch & Conference Facility, near Banchory. They will ensure that everyone is provided with the relevant equipment, health and safety briefing and training. After the Hunting Touch Rugby Challenge it’s all change at the top of the League 1 with Wood Group now in pole position, Baker Hughes in second place and Shell Team 1 sitting in third! In League 2, PwC have managed to hold onto the top spot with Champion Technologies in second place and Hess coming up strong in third! Everything is still to play for so, do you trust your colleagues to keep you nice and dry?! No, neither do we, but as you’ll be well aware, Scottish summers are so hot that it’ll be a relief to get into the water and cool down. 212 views
