'Creative Tourism Marketing' - Open Meeting for BusinessesDate: Tuesday 21 February Venue: Raemoir House Hotel, Banchory Time: 6.00pm Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms will be holding an open evening for all tourism businesses on Tuesday 21st February at 6.00pm. The theme for the evening is Creative Tourism Marketing and there will be a series of special presentations. This will be an excellent opportunity to catch up with other businesses in the area.
2012 is the official Year of Creative Scotland - a year long celebration of Scotland's rich cultural and creative heritage, which creates numerous opportunities for businesses in the Royal Deeside DMO area to build enduring and profitable local partnerships. Presentations will include: • Shona Anderson, Regional Director of VisitScotland for Aberdeen City and Shire. Shona will give a presentation about the latest tourism plans and activity for the North-east and how local businesses can take part and benefit. • John Carnie, Tourism Manager for the DMO, will introduce specific plans for the Royal Deeside area and new marketing activity which has been agreed with local businesses, including the relaunch of a greatly extended Victorian Heritage Trail. • A Panel of Local Businesses will be available for a Q & A session and present case studies of how local businesses have used creative marketing techniques to find new markets and products. This is an informal evening with plenty of opportunities to meet, chat with and build up partnerships with other local businesses. A finger buffet will be served from 6.00pm with presentations starting at 6.30pm.
