Cut Office Waste to Cut Office Costs

It has been reported that paper usage increases by 20% every year with the average office worker going through 1,584 sheets of A4 paper per month.

All businesses have a legal duty to look after the environment and to provide appropriate arrangements for the disposal of their waste and it’s estimated to cost companies an average of 4.5% of their annual turnover to dispose of office waste appropriately.

An Aberdeen reprographics firm is urging businesses to re-think office procedures this year, as small changes could make a huge difference to recycling rates and improve in-house corporate social responsibility policies.

There are lots of options around to tackle this waste issue, it’s just important that firms find the right solution for their problems.”

A major cause of paper waste in the workplace is the number of extra print outs made due to documents being picked up at the printer by the wrong person.
