Deeside Activity Park’s Bonfire Night was a Great Success!

Deeside Activity Park’s Annual Bonfire and Fireworks held yesterday on Sunday 6th November was hailed as a huge success by organisers.

“We can’t be 100 percent sure but we think there was between 600 and 800 people at the park enjoying the bonfire, fireworks and of course our very own Cairnton Aberdeen Angus BBQ. That is almost double if not triple the amount of guests that were here last year!” said Ken Howie, Owner of the park and also the person who put on such a wonderful display of fireworks.

The Evening was just perfect cold but very pleasant. E & M Lees had provide a courtesy bus from Lumphanan Square for local residents to come to the park to save on parking spaces, which I think was just as well as the cars were lining the road on both sides for quite some stretch from the park.

“The BBQ went down a real treat as usual, in fact we ran out of rolls, soup and onions by the time we got to the last 15 in the queue. We are wondering if we need to start making burgers for next year already? “said Fiona from DAP. “This morning we have already started to build next year’s bonfire.”

The Bonfire night is only one of a string of special events that are held at Deeside Activity Park over the year, the next event is the Santa’s sleigh rides and Santa’s Grotto on 18th December.
