Deeside’s Kart League returns for a 3rd Season

Deeside’s Summer Kart Racing League is returning once again for a 3rd season to popular outdoor activities venue, Deeside Activity Park. The league is to try and find a Kart Racing Champion for 2011 and hopefully someone that Deeside Activity Park can sponsor to a professional level!

The leagues are being held every Monday morning, starting Monday 4thJuly 2011 with the last one on Monday 15th August 2011, visitors are invited to the Centre at 9.15 am to take part in the competition but to avoid disappointment are encouraged to pre book a place.

“Karting is one of our most popular activities here at the park,” said Ken Howie, owner. “For the last 2 years we have run this league and last year those that came week on week saw their timings improve and they became much better at handling the karts.”

The costs are £20 per person per session, which represents a substantial saving from standard activity rates. Racing times will be accumulated week by week to decide on the winners. The winners will be announced on the last day of racing Monday 15th August 2011. Last year’s winners were Over 14 Overall winner - Christopher Park, Over 14 Fastest Lap - Donald Thompson, Under 14 overall Winner - David Morgan, Under 14 Fastest Lap - Ashley Will, Best Lady - Alisi-Jane Park, and Most Improved - Joseph Cowley.

Deeside Activity Park has a 375 metre outdoor asphalt racing circuit. The Bizz 200 karts are suitable for adults and there are cadet karts for the children, all have been fitted with electronic transponders ensuring accurate lap times and competitive racing.

The sessions are open to everyone. For more details call Deeside Activity Park on 01339 883536.
