DENIS LAW SOCCER TOURNAMENT GALA DINNER

FRIDAY 24 JUNE 2011 - THE MARCLIFEE AT PITFODELS

A new tournament has been formed bearing the name of one of footballs global icons – Denis Law – an Aberdonian who played with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Torino and of course Scotland, for whom he holds the all time joint top scorer accolade with Kenny Dalglish!

Denis readily agreed to lend his name to the newly formed tournament which will feature teams of under 16’s level, corporate 6 a side and of course local community younger children’s short side games and coaching classes. The event will be held at Aberdeen Sports Village week commencing 18 July, with the finals day being Friday 23 July. We have participating teams from Norway, Faroes, South Africa and Nigeria – not to mention Derby County FC, Motherwell FC and Aberdeen FC.

The organisers of the Denis Law Soccer Tournament hope that business and pubic will provide ongoing support for this children's event.

To set the ball rolling, The Denis Law Soccer Tournament Gala Dinner 2011 is taking place at The Marcliffe at Pitfodels on Friday 24 June and we would be delighted if you could support us by taking a table at this corporate event and/or consider some of the various sponsorship packages on offer. This black tie event will be kicked off with a pre dinner drinks reception, followed by dinner and there will be a number of well known celebrity speakers including former Ipswich Town, Man Utd and Scotland legend Alan Brazil, well known after dinner speaker Sandy Strang, with MC Bill Copland delivering his usual blend of humour and organisation throughout.

The charity auction features some VERY unique items and it promises to be a wonderful evening!
