Dennis Robertson MSPLeading Grampian charity, North East Sensory Services (N.E.S.S) are giving their best wishes to their Client Services Manager, Dennis Robertson who has been elected as MSP for Aberdeenshire West. Dennis is the first blind person to enter into Holyrood as an MSP. Chief Executive of NESS Graham Findlay said, ‘We are all so proud of Dennis and what he has achieved. He is such a positive role model for people who have a sensory loss”. Mr Robertson will be leaving his post at NESS and Graham went on to say “we are of course disappointed to be losing such a key person from the organisation. NESS has grown its service provision significantly over the past 6 years and Dennis has played a crucial part in our development. However, Dennis leaves with the best wishes of all at NESS.” The main aim of the organisation is to ‘achieve independence for blind and deaf people and Dennis is the perfect example of this in action. North East Sensory Services are the first provider of full joint services for both blind and deaf people in Scotland. They will be advertising shortly for a replacement for Dennis.
