DM Training attended Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland Annual AwardsDM Training Consultants Ltd (DM Training) attended the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) Annual Award Ceremony on Thursday 18th November at the Apex International Hotel, Edinburgh. Adebisi Olatunde from The Edinburgh Smoked Salmon Company (1992) Ltd, Dingwall won the Highfield Award for Intermediate HACCP Practices Exam, beating students from across Scotland to the Award. Adebisi got the highest mark in Scotland for the exam during 2010/2011.
This is the second year DM Training has had a student winning this Award at the Ceremony.
Donna Maver, Director said “We are very proud that our students have put so much time and effort into the examination for the programme and making the course a success. When we are delivering the training we want to ensure the students get the most from the course and can apply the knowledge back in the workplace.”
Adebisi was working at the Edinburgh Smoked Salmon Company (1992) Ltd, Dingwall when she attended the 2 Day Course which focuses on Food Safety Management Systems based on HACCP Principles and putting these into practice back in the workplace. The Course is a vital part of any food business which makes or sells food to customers. HACCP became a legal requirement for all food businesses from January 2006 and is a vital aspect of any business wishing to produce or sell food and is required as part of Quality Approval Systems such as BRC, ISO 9000 and SALSA. 134 views
