Eat Safe Award for Andrew Gordon

The Eat Safe Award is a new scheme, which will

provide a valuable tool to reassure customers of

the commitment to them for standards of the highest level.

Eat Safe is designed to promote excellence in Food

Hygiene and Food Safety Management in catering/food

establishments across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The Scheme is being administered by local Council Environmental

Health Services (EHS) in conjunction with the Food Standards

Agency in Scotland & Northern Ireland. Eligable establishments are

assessed for the Award as part of scheduled Food Hygiene

inspections carried out by Environmental Health Services.

The FSA will promote the Eat Safe Award to the general public,

helping to raise awareness of the scheme, its symbols and its criteria.
