Enterprising pupils raise £1655 for Kenyan Water Projects

P7 pupils at RGC Junior School presented Mr Bob Duncan of Ellon Rotary Club with a cheque for £1,655.00. This money will be used by the Rotary Club to help fund their Water Project at the Paul Harris School Complex in Kizingo, Kenya.

Last year’s P7 pupils raised this money through their production of ‘Oliver’, which was part of their Enterprise project. The school’s P7 pupils also study Kenya as a Geography project each year and so it was decided to donate the money for a worthy cause in Kenya.

Mr Bob Duncan, Ellon Rotary Club commented, “I was surprised to receive such a large donation. On behalf of the Ellon Rotary Club I would like to thank the pupils for choosing to donate these funds to our Kenyan projects”.
