FIFTH RING’S HOUSTON OFFICE ANNOUNCES SIGNIFICANT SUCCESSES FOR 2010Fifth Ring Integrated Corporate Communications’ Houston office increased its turnover to more than £300,000 in 2010, growing its US business by almost 50 percent on the previous year. This significant success was bolstered by new business wins totalling more than £200,000, with Fifth Ring’s US offering securing contracts with several new clients.
The US presence has had a positive impact on the company’s UK and Middle East offices allowing the company, which now employs 60 people across the regions, to offer a full range of corporate communications services through a global strategy with local delivery in the world’s key energy centres.
In line with its growth strategy, Fifth Ring’s Houston office hired an additional full-time member of staff last year while implementing plans for a training programme designed to guide new employees arriving at the firm.
Hoping to see its successes recognised, the Houston office has entered the 2011 PRSA Excalibur Awards for Excellence (it picked up a Gold award in 2009), in addition to partnering with the AMA (American Marketing Association) 25th Annual Crystal Awards, an important relationship that will see it deliver PR services to the Houston chapter.
Fifth Ring’s business development director, Ian Ord, said: “Our international office base puts us in a unique position. It’s what makes us really different from our competitors in the sector. How many corporate communications agencies can claim to be fully integrated with offices across the energy centres of the world?
“Many of our new business wins have been as a direct result of this international offering and it is fantastic for growing the business further. With the economy only just starting to recover, it’s extremely encouraging to see the success achieved by our Houston office – which is testament to a great deal of hard work, not just from the team in the US, but through the combined efforts our teams in UK and the Middle East.
“When Fifth Ring first formed, our aim was to establish a presence in the world’s energy centres. Our continued globalisation, in addition to our relationships within the Business Branding Network means that we increasingly see businesses channelling their corporate communications challenges to us. The results from 2010 are continued evidence of this, and we hope to build on that success across 2011.”
Fifth Ring has just announced the launch of its Insider’s Guide to Houston (3rd edition), an updated online guide using its knowledge of the city, a tool that has proven popular with clients and delegates from the north-east year-on-year.
The guide provides the inside track on dozens of the best venues to go for food, drinks and shopping in the United States oil capital, which welcomes thousands of visitors to the world’s leading oil and technology exhibition from 2-5 May.
Mr Ord added: “Our OTC Houston guide always receives a very positive response. We have clients attending from across the world and this guide is a vital tool for them all.”
