First Minister To Open Million Pound OceanTools House Headquarters in AberdeenDate Monday 25 April 2011 Time 11:00 Place OceanTools House, Claymore Drive, Aberdeen Event First Minister Alex Salmond will perform the official opening of OceanTools House, the new headquarters building for OceanTools, which designs and manufactures products for the subsea ROV and robotics industry First Minister Alex Salmond MSP will perform the official opening of a new OceanTools headquarters building in Aberdeen tomorrow (Monday 25 April 2011). The company has invested a million pounds in the new custom built Claymore Drive building within the Aberdeen Science and Technology Park. The state of the art building gives OceanTools almost four times as much space as the company’s previous office space. OceanTools House has 500 sq m of offices, development laboratory and electronics workshop space. The company, which designs and manufactures products for the subsea ROV and robotics industry plans significant expansion in the coming two years and the increased space and enhanced facilities will allow the company to double its staff by 2013. Alex Salmond will meet the team and unveil an official plaque to mark the opening. He will also tour the new facilities and see the development laboratory where a new suite of technology will be created including subsea digital video recorders, highly engineered electric pan and tilt units, along with standard and high definition subsea video cameras and LED lighting systems. These innovative products complement our existing range of OceanTools gyrocompasses, video overlays, digital CP probes and underwater displays. Managing director of OceanTools Kevin Parker says, “We are all delighted that the First Minister Alex Salmond will be performing the official opening of OceanTools House.
