FREE HUMAN RESOURCES AND PAYROLL ADVICE ON OFFER

Local businesses will have the opportunity to receive human resources and payroll advice free of charge at the second of four drop-in surgeries in Aberdeen’s commercial hubs. Bon Accord Employment Services Limited will be at Thistle Aberdeen Altens tomorrow (Friday 26 August) giving busy managers the opportunity to have queries answered quickly, conveniently and confidentially.

The surgery will be managed by Donna Reid, director and co-founder of Bon Accord. She will be joined by Sandy Kemp of Simpson Marwick, an employment law specialist, Jim Yuill of The Yuill Consultancy, a social security expert and Paul Shanahan of Futura Investments, a financial planning guru. Further summer surgeries will take place in Dyce and Bridge of Don. Sessions are ‘drop-in,’ but appointments can be made in advance.

Bon Accord Employment Services, founded by human resource specialists Donna Reid and Neil Carrington last year, provides authoritative, accessible and proactive HR and payroll support in an ultra-local, personalised format that is unique to the north-east.

Director, Neil Carrington, said: “Our philosophy is underpinned by a need for local, tailored, confidential support. Others provide remote services. But an impersonal, distant brand is not appealing. People want to talk to people. Face-to-face communication reigns supreme.

“Our surgeries emphasise this commitment: we come to you. Accessibility is priceless. The working day is increasingly busy, particularly for managers. But that doesn’t change the fact that HR issues arise. In fact, problems can become more prominent due to hectic lifestyles. HR concerns must be nipped at the bud. But, sometimes, it’s impossible to step away from your desk to grab lunch, let alone to attend an appointment at the other end of town. We want to relieve the burden by bringing our support network to busy people, at surgeries and in general practice.
