GFF Going For GrowthThe next Grampian Food Forum Open Meeting takes place at 3-6pm on Tuesday 14th June at the Thistle Airport Hotel, Dyce. Chaired by Keith Whyte of Mitchells and Chairman of the Grampian Food Forum Operations Group, this event is aimed at local food and drink producers who are keen to look at ways to grow their business. Delegates will hear from line up of speakers who will share their experience.
Paula Cormack, Head of Marketing for the UK’s leading independent food ingredients manufacturer, Macphie of Glenbervie, will share her experience of the journey Macphie embarked upon to create and launch the company’s first consumer-facing brand, DeviliShh.
Mackintosh of Glendaveny is a 2 year old business producing extra virgin cold pressed rapeseed oil which came about while owner, Gregor Mackintosh, was studying at the Scottish Agricultural College in Aberdeen. Gregor will share how the business has grown by supplying not just independent retailers and caterers but also ASDA stores across Scotland.
Martin Sutherland of Levercliff is going to share top tips and advice on "Making the most of a Buyer Meeting". Levercliffe work on behalf of Scotland Food & Drink to deliver the supplier development programme which includes preparation, presentation and negotiation skills development.
Andrew Niven, INSIGHTS Manager for Scotland Food & Drink will use up to the minute market intelligence and research to look at upcoming major trends that will dictate the way that consumers shop and retailers sell.
Senior Business Development Executive, Christine Webster from Aberdeenshire Council will be on hand to provide information on the financial support available through the Support For Aberdeenshire Business and the First Employee Grant schemes.
From black puddings to fish and ships! Pat Christie from Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce will discuss how the Chamber works to support businesses of all sizes to make the most of working internationally.
This networking event is free of charge to representatives from food and drink companies based in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray and is being delivered by the Grampian Food Forum and supported by Scotland Food & Drink.
