Go Back in Time for the Future of CLAN

A team of Aberdeen Business School students are inviting the people of Aberdeen to enjoy a unique night of 1940's inspired entertainment at The CLAN Blitz Ball.

On Friday 29 April, The Tunnels, Carnegies Brae, Aberdeen is to host a vintage themed dance organised by Vintage Events in order to raise funds for local charity CLAN Cancer Support. REEL Group has kindly sponsored the event.

The event is being project managed by six third-year Robert Gordon University students studying Corporate Communications with PR and Media who have named themselves 'Vintage Events'. It has been organised as a student project which constitutes a significant element of their spring term coursework.

On the night, guests can expect to enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival, a buffet and retro treats such as jelly and cupcakes. For a truly authentic experience attendees are invited to dress up with a suggested dress code of 1940's vintage or military attire. There will also be a raffle with a host of fantastic prizes to be won.

The Aristocats, a ten-piece swing band from Aberdeen who play wartime classics such as Have You Met Miss Jones, will provide authentic big band style entertainment. DJ Larze and DJ Kojo will also keep guests entertained with a range of jazz and swing style music.

CLAN provides an invaluable service for those affected by cancer in Grampian and beyond. CLAN's fundraising co-ordinator Duncan Charles said,

"CLAN is an independent charity which relies on fundraising and donations. This event is a unique opportunity to raise funds for the new CLAN House and Haven.

We hope that local businesses will support the project with raffle prizes"

Event sponsor REEL Group is a global company, which was founded in Aberdeen.
