HALL AND TAWSE GET LOCAL CHARITY ON THE ROADA North-east cancer support charity is travelling in style after receiving generous support from a local business. Hall and Tawse Joinery, a division of Mansell Construction Services Limited has provided CLAN Cancer Support with the use of a Lynton Showmaster exhibition trailer in order to transport their information stands around various events and shows throughout the area.
The trailer, itself worth a five figure sum, was fitted out to CLAN Cancer Support’s requirements, and includes display boards and a seating area.
Hall and Tawse Joinery decided to gift the trailer to CLAN, which was surplus to requirements, after realising the benefit to CLAN in having the use of the equipment
Allan McGillivray, Director at Hall and Tawse Joinery, said: “We are delighted to be able to continue our relationship with CLAN, which began when Mansell celebrated its centenary in 2008.
“We are only too aware of all the good work CLAN does, and are keen to be able to help the charity in any way we can. By providing the trailer we hope to ensure that attending events throughout the area is a bit easier for the team. We are very keen to be involved in anything that helps to raise awareness of the fantastic range of services this local charity provides.”
Susan Crighton, fundraising manager at CLAN Cancer Support, said: “We are thrilled with our new trailer and the continued support from Hall and Tawse Joinery is wonderful.
“We are always keen to keep raising awareness of the services CLAN can offer, and the exhibition trailer really helps us to do so. Summer sees us attend a wide range of events throughout the North and East from galas to agricultural shows and events and we are already looking forward to utilising the trailer.
“Everyone at CLAN would like to say thank you to Hall and Tawse Joinery for their support - we are all proud of our new trailer.”
