Ice warning as wet, freezing conditions forecastWet weather and sub-zero road surface temperatures are forecast overnight, which means the streets are likely to be icy. The air temperature is forecast to remain above zero, but the road surface temperature is expected to fall below zero. Motorists are warned not to be fooled by the temperature sensors in their vehicles, which give the air temperature, not the road surface temperature.
Motorists and pedestrians should take extra care when out and about.
Aberdeen City Council's roads teams will continue carrying out winter maintenance operations and the gritters will be out. The council has plenty salt in stock. 54 views
